When can I start using my plan?
You can use your plan right away by printing your ID after you become a member, and then replacing it with the membership ID card that will be mailed to you. For some services you must wait for the membership ID card to arrive.
When will I receive my membership card?
Your card will arrive by mail in 5-10 business days. You can print a temporary ID as soon as you become a member and use that with most services in the mean time.
Who can I include in my plan?
Anyone living in your household, as well as others living outside your household that you are financially responsible for, such as adult parents and kids at college.
Are there any caps on using my plan?
Absolutely not! You can visit providers as often as you like.
Can I use the plan after I move?
Yes, you will need to find providers that particpate in the program in your new area.
How can I find providers?
Visit our provider search page.
Can I mix insurance with my discount plan?
In most cases, insurance and discount plans will not coordinate - meaning you can't reduce the cost of your bill twice - however they supplement one another nicely. For example, your dental insurance may have a low cap that you know you will exceed. In this case you could use your dental plan to receive discounts on the services you receive after your dental insurance is capped.
One exception to the general rule of no coordination is indemnity plans. If you have an indemnity plan that reimburses you a certain amount for specific procedures, simply use your membership card when you receive service as you normally would and then file a claim with your insurer to receive the normal reimbursement they provide.
How do discount plans work?
Discount plans couldn't be easier! Members simply show their card when they receive service and are charged according to the agreed upon discount Careington has negotiated with the provider. For a full explanation of how the process works, visit our How Plans Work page.
